Jordan XV
It’s admittedly not the most heralded Air Jordan, and yet, many have long held a special love for the Black/Varsity Red colorway, as it represents everything a Jordan should be. Daring. Different. Technical – if not molded and sculpted to a fault. While the heel fit is debatable and the heel-to-toe transition not the most buttery smooth, the XV and its brave look still got people talking, which is all Tinker Hatfield set out to do. Let’s not even get started on the tongue and its shape, though it did allude to Michael’s playing style and showmanship. The fact Michael had retired from the Bulls and was no longer playing didn’t help the late 1999 release either. It’s also safe to say we’re just all very thankful that Tinker returned for the XX and XX3.
