It was March 19th in Indianapolis. He was back. Wearing the Chicago regional colorway of the X, Michael would lead the Bulls in their charge to the playoffs. And though they came up short in their efforts against the Orlando Magic, fans across the globe were comforted by the fact he had returned for good. The X acted as a celebratory sneaker for Michael’s tenth year, honoring the accomplishments he achieved in each of his seasons in the NBA. As other players, league-wide, wore the X to show their thanks, it took Michael’s return to the game to truly jumpstart the love for the shoe.
